A teenager has been charged with murder after a carer died just days after being splashed with a “corrosive substance” in High Wycombe earlier this year.

Xeneral Webster, 18, of Westway, Hammersmith and Fulham, London, was charged yesterday (Thursday) with one count of murder.

It comes after Joanne Rand, 47, was splashed with the substance in Frogmoor on June 3. She suffered serious injuries and sadly died at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on June 14.

Webster was remanded in custody following an appearance at Amersham Court yesterday, and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on April 9, however police said the court location might change.

He appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 25 and was charged with one count of attempted GBH, one count of robbery and one count of possession of an offensive weapon and one count of GBH.

These charges also relate to an incident on June 3 in Frogmoor.
