More people have been arrested in connection with a “hit-and-run” that left a police officer with head injuries.

Two men from High Wycombe, aged 23 and 25, have been arrested today (Friday) on suspicion of attempted murder.

It comes after Corey Allard, 20, of no fixed abode, was charged today with the attempted murder of the police officer after a red Vauxhall Astra crashed into him in Market Square, Aylesbury, at around 3.20pm on Tuesday.

The car did not stop after the crash, leaving the on-duty officer with head injuries.

He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

A 27-year-old woman from High Wycombe who was arrested yesterday (Thursday) on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone who may have information to help their investigation – or those with mobile phone or dashcam footage of the crash – to call 101 and quote reference number 747 (13/2).
