A teenager charged with the murder of a a “fun-loving and bubbly” nurse in High Wycombe town centre is set to go on trial next month.
Xeneral Webster, 19, from Hammersmith, was accused of murder, attempted grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and robbery, following the death of Joanne Rand, 47.
She suffered serious injuries after she was allegedly splashed with a substance in Frogmoor on June 3 and died 11 days later in hospital.
Jo, a mother-of-three who worked in Marlow but grew up in High Wycombe, was sitting on a bench when the incident happened.
Police fear Jo had been "caught up in an altercation" between a group of men.
Webster had a telephone hearing at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, but his trial is due to start on April 9.
He denies all the charges against him.
