THERE are open auditions for the Jackie Palmer Stage School's Easter musical, Spring Awakening. The auditions are on Sunday, November 25 at 30, Daws Hill Lane, HIgh Wycombe. Registration is at 10am and there will be recalls in the afternoon. Prepare a suitable song and wear appropriate dance wear. Under 16s need written permission from a parent of guardian on the day. To take part in the musical is £195. Rehearsals from April 1-11 and performances on April 12 and 13 at High Wycombe Town Hall.
THE TREE Hotel at Cadmore End is celebrating its fourth birthday with the news that food and drink sales have increased by 20 per cent since 2010. THERE is a community open day at Stowe House on Sunday, November 25 from 10am-4pm. It will be unveiling plans for its exciting new project ‘Enlightenment for All’. Plans for the new visitor and exhibition centres will be on display and people will be able to hear about ideas to revive Stowe House as a ‘hub’ of creativity and imagination for their community, much like in its 18th century heyday. THE world renowned pianist Philip Fowke will be appearing in a concert entitled Art of Encore - an evening of classical and light classical piano music - in Princes Risborough on November 17. This is a rare chance to hear Philip, respected and admired worldwide as one of Britain’s most distinguished pianists, in Princes Risborough. All proceeds will go towards the Princes (Day Care) Centre. It starts at 7.30pm in St Mary's Church, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Princes Risborough. Tickets are £18 from the Princes Risborough Information Centre. Refreshments included.
