Dear Kaye,
I am so annoyed that my will power failed after 3 weeks & I have started smoking again. This is the second time I’ve tried to stop & I feel I have let both myself & my family down.
Liz, 40, Marlow.
Dear Liz,
There is no deadline, just because you started to smoke again it doesn’t mean it’s all over!
Give yourself another date to aim for & try again.
Even though you only completed 3 weeks, that is still 3 weeks to be proud of.
You only feel you failed because you are assuming you will never do it when actually if you view this as a setback & continue to try & stop, you may find the pressure is lifted making the whole process much easier to tackle.
Statistics state that it usually takes 5-7 attempts before people manage to give up for good, so give yourself another chance.
Good luck Liz, Kaye.
