1. ONE of the biggest art exhibitions in the county takes place this weekend when a whole school is transformed into an art gallery. The Longwick Art Exhibition is celebrating its 25th year and has a big display of work by professional and amateur artists. To celebrate the 25th year organisers are giving away five Silver Tickets (£25 off any work purchased over £100). From wall canvases to gift cards, sculptures to mounted prints, there is something for everyone. Entry is £2 and refreshments are available, with the whole event raising funds for the children of Longwick C of E Combined School. It is on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

2. JOIN Chinese New Year celebrations at the Wycombe Museum with lots of activities to celebrate the year of the snake. It takes place on Sunday from 2 to 4.30pm where visitors can have a go at Chinese Dragon dancing, Tai Chi and paper folding. Make your own snake mobile and find out about the legend behind the Chinese zodiac. It is free entry. Drop in at Wycombe Museum in Priory Avenue in High Wycombe. 3. THERE is a village market at Beaconsfield on Saturday with vintage, retro and crafts from 9am onwards at the Beaconsfield United Reformed Church Hall in Aylesbury End, Beaconsfield. Furnishings, jewellery, clothing, china, collectables, handmade crafts and much more for sale. This event will be held on the fourth Saturday of every month. Entry £1 for adults and under 16s free. 4 THE 39 Steps is at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre this weekend on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are £9 to £26. It is a funny show about Richard Hannay as he encounters dastardly murders, double crossing secret agents and devastatingly beautiful women. Four fearless actors play 139 roles in 100 minutes. 5. IN THE picturesque setting by the river bank in Marlow, the surroundings of All Saints Church will be aglow in the early spring as a major annual event in the town's calendar takes place. The resplendent scene will be the place for Mayor Jocelyn Towns to hold her second civic service, as residents get a chance to meet her and the town council team, responsible for running Marlow. The service on Sunday, from 12.30pm, is open to everyone, with refreshments to be served after wards in the parish rooms. The event will be a chance to speak with councillors on any issues affecting them and to mingle with other dignitaries including MPs and neighbouring Mayors.
