2:20pm Sunday 10th March 2013 in Freetime By Rebecca Cain
A NEWLY formed theatre company for mature ladies will be performing their first show next week.
The Moving On theatre company was formed by actress and producer Laurene Hope for mainly actresses over 45 who felt their was a need for more opportunities to act and to shine regardless of age.
Their first show is a comedy called A Coupla Chicks Sitting Around Talking, starring Ruth Curtis and Laurene.
Laurene said: "I play the part of a crazy southern American lady called Hannah Mae Bindler who spends her time spying on her neighbour Maud Mix played by Ruth. Maud does everything thing possible to get Hannah Mae out of her life with hilarious consequences and unexpected twists and turns which will have the audience roaring with laughter.
"Our director Liz Bishop was determined to push us both to a level of absurdity that we only hope the audience will find very entertaining."
The Mayor of High Wycombe and his wife will be attending their very first show at the Arts4Every1 Centre on Desborough Road on Saturday, March 16 at 8pm.
The company will then touring the play around Bucks and Middlesex areas until April 27. Tickets are £10 and at the premier you get a free drink included.
