JOANNA Lumley has been confirmed to host a James Bond themed evening at the Henley Festival this July.

The actress will present Shaken and Stirred, The Music of James Bond on July 13.

Kristina Rihanoff and Robin Windsor from BBC's Strictly Come Dancing will also take to the stage.

Throughout this gala evening, Joanna Lumley will take the 5,000 guests on an historic journey, featuring the prestigious music, exciting stunts and enthralling romance of Ian Fleming’s suave spy.

At the heart of this blockbuster event will be performances by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, recreating some of the greatest film scores and theme-songs in movie history, including: Diamonds Are Forever, Goldfinger, Live and Let Die and Skyfall.

Joanna Lumley said: "The very words 'James Bond' bring a rush of excitement to my heart: even though it was forty five years ago, even though I really only had two lines in the film 'On Her majesty's Secret Service' I am as proud of being a Bond Girl as of anything else in my career.

"I can't wait for this spectacular Bond Night on the river; as the evening progresses I shall of course be auditioning, fairly subtly, for a future role in another of these sensational films: and it need only be two lines..."

The Beach Boys will be performing at the five day festival on the opening night on July 10. Then Jamie Cullum is on stage on July 11, Madness on July 12 and Paloma Faith on July 14. Tickets are now on sale from www.henley-festival.co.uk
