Sting announced to play Henley Festival

STING will open the Henley Fesitval this year on July 4 with a host of other big named stars performing the following evenings.

The five night strictly black tie event will run as usual on the banks of the river Thames and this year the festival celebrates its 30th year.

Katherine Jenkins, star of Les Miserable, Alfie Boe with guest funnyman Tim Minchin, Lulu and the London Community Gospel choir and pop star Olly Murs will also be performing.

Tickets go on sale to the public from March 15 are £35 per day. All festival profits go to local charities.

There will be top class food from Albert and Michel Roux Jr’s riverside restaurant with a choise of six other restaurants.

The headline acts each night are closed by a fireworks display.

It runs from July 4-8. You can beat the wait for tickets and become a Friend of the Henley Festival to get your tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased at www.henley-festival.co.uk, or from the Festival box office: 01491 843404.
