New play penned by group of young actors New play penned by group of young actors

A GROUP of young actors have wrote their own play for the next production by the Forum Players.

The Bourne End group came up with the idea while it was searching for new ideas and a different approach to drama.

The play called, Virus, is by Future Forum, which is for young actors and includes three adult members.

In this production there is a cast of 17. Producer Anthony Deacon guided the project admitting: "Although this approach is quite high risk and reduced valuable rehearsal time, it is also very exciting and challenging".

Over four weeks the group put together the plots and characters and after auditions are now ready to premiere their play.

But the group do not want to give too much away with the storyline.

During a school trip their minibus breaks down leaving the group at a run down hotel in the middle of nowhere.

The situation quickly turns from bad to deadly and it is down to the youngsters to find a way out.

Virus will be staged at the Centre Theatre in Wakeman Road, Bourne End from September 13 to 15 at 8pm.

As usual the Wednesday performance will be free for senior citizens. Ticket prices are £9 adults and £7 concessions. The box office will be in the library or ring 01628 523291.

Flashheart says...

"...have wrote their own play..." Seriously???

Surely the BFP journos have to take a written exam before being let loose on a story.

Please employ people with basic English Language skills as a minimum in the future

This is disgraceful. It's a direct reflection on poor management within BFP, shows up your shoddy proof reading processes (if indeed there ARE any), and the Human Remains Department should be ashamed of themselves, employing someone at this level to put pen to paper.

Other than that, a lovely story...
