It's the 21st appearance for the Knights of Harmony at The Elgiva

THE Chesham based barbershop singers Knights of Harmony will be joined on stage by a plethora of acts this weekend in its Jubilee concert.

The Knights were formed in 1975 and are regular clients of The Elgiva theatre in Chesham, where they will make their 21st appearance on Saturday at 6.30pm.

This year is made even more special as there are eight new members who joined following the free Learn to Sing course held in early January.

The Polka Dots will be adding their original and cover swing songs with some sharp dance routines. There will also be Echo, the current Region 31 Sweet Adeline Gold Medal Quartet and Crossfire. The quartet has just returned from representing Great Britain at the Barbershop International in Portland USA.

The concert will mainly be in the a-cappella style.

This annual concert is one of several high points in The Knights year, the others being their trip to compete at the Spanish Convention in March and their highly successful appearance in the National Barbershop Convention at Southport last May. Rehearsals are held each Thursday throughout the year at the White Hill Community Centre in Chesham from 8pm to 10.30pm. New faces are always welcome.

Tickets for the concert are £15 (£12 concessions) from Alan on 07812941433 or e-mail alanedwardh@hotmail.co.uk.
