Review: Hairy Bikers delight fans with fun packed show

I DIDN'T really know what to expect from The Hairy Bikers show. I, of course, had seen the two laughing and joking their way through their TV series but I wasn't sure how easily it would transfer to the stage. The answer- very easily.

At the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre last night it started with a humorous video of the two 'behind the scenes' as they scoff their way through kebabs, and before you know it they have bounded on stage to huge applause from the sold out theatre.

I don't know if it is because they have both lost so much weight through a healthy eating plan but they are both bursting with energy and their enthusiasm is infectious.

There are lots of clips throughout of the duo's many trips throughout the world and the different food they have tried and the funny situations they have ended up in.

Dave Myers seems to run the show as Si King enjoys messing about with the audience, and seemingly forgets his lines.

My favourite part was when the two cooked. They chat away whilst putting together a delicious curry, with less than 300 calories per portion, and then later a beautiful salmon dish with Hollandaise sauce.

In the first half and second half they bring people up on stage to try the food, which also added extra laughs to the show.

The way the two interact seems effortless and the audience clearly loved their friendly chat and sometimes cheesy jokes.

I think what makes it work is they both seem normal guys who are having the time of their life, even if the show did feature a but of nudity.

They seem to appreciate their audience, and put on a very entertaining performance mixing food, dancing, singing and jokes.
