NOT many people can lay claim to the title, "Ultimate Icon Of The Last Forty Years", but Sir Terry Wogan can, having been named exactly that by BBC Radio 2 listeners in a recent poll.

Perhaps it is easy to see why, especially as the Bucks resident has been entertaining audiences since he received his very own radio show in 1969.

Over the decades, he has also hosted numerous television programmes, including his live chat show series, Wogan, as well as The Eurovision Song Contest, Come Dancing, Blankety Blank and Children In Need, which to date has raised more than £400 million for youngsters in Britain.
