The Henley Players' latest show promises to keep its audience spellbound when it opens this week.
Wyrd Sisters, written by Terry Pratchett and adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, revolves around three strange sisters spell-bent on restoring the rightful heir to the throne.
As they set out on their quest, Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat Garlick encounter all manner of strange characters, including a ghost and a demon, a duke with blood on his hands and a troupe of travelling players.
The tongue-in-cheek homage to Shakespeare's Macbeth even features an appearance by the Bard himself.
Director Jill Richardson says: "Watching the characters jump off the page and into life has made this play a joy to rehearse and I look forward to seeing both cast and audience alike fall under the Discworld spell."
