It's Riddikulus to think that it has been 15 years since the first of the eight Harry Potter films Slytherined it's way on to the big screens. And to celebrate Warner Bros Studio Tour will be unveiling a series of special features throughout the year.

Based on J K Rowling's world famous series about a young boy and his adventures at the magical Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone made its debut in 2001. This year will give visitors the chance to go behind the scenes of the first film and discover where the magic began.

To kick off the year-long celebrations, visitors will be able to get up and close to some of the iconic props featured in the first film in this Welcome to Hogwarts tour.

For the first time, the Sorting Hat and stool will be on display in the Great Hall set - which was one of the first Hogwarts locations to be built fifteen years ago along with a section of floating candles above the teachers' table. There will also be the opportunity to learn the secrets behind some of the first film's most recognisable scene. (February 11-22)

Next up will be a feature on Harry's gargantuan guardian - half giant Hagrid. Potter fans will remember it was was Hagrid who introduced the the world of magic and of course, Hogwarts to Harry. Visitors will now be able to see how this groundskeeper was brought to life on screen, from costumes and props to techniques that made Hagrid appear so huge.

In addition, artists from Nick Dudman's creative effects team will showing how they worked on the Gringott's Goblin prosthetics. (March 25 - April 17)

For a limited time later in the year, you could get the chance to step inside Number Four, Privet Drive and peer into the Dursleys' living room as the exterior set is opened. This is especially for the Studio Tour's anniversary celebrations and there will be Dursely-ish pieces of furniture on display including the ugly sofas and the vulgar curtains. (May 27 - June 6)

During the summer Warner Bros. are putting on a special Finding the Philosopher's Stone feature to showcase the journey Harry, Ron and Hermione embarked upon to find and protect the stone.

Filmmakers used a range of special and visual effects to create the various obstacles the trio faced and visitors can discover how giant chess pieces were made to move, how a three-headed dog and its saliva was brought to life and how the deadly Devil's Snare was taken from the page to the screen. (July 22 - September 5)

Finally, to mark 15 years since the UK premiere of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, visitors will be able to admire authentic sets, props and costumes that were first created during production.

The Great Hall will be dressed for Halloween, including a feast and coupled with the costume of Professor Quirrell. Sets including the Gryffindor common room, bys' dormitory and Hagrid's hut will also be on display and a chance to discover more about them and how they have stood the test of time. (October 15 - November 4)

The year will conclude with the popular festive feature - Hogwarts in the Snow - where sets are decorated for the holiday seasons and behind the scenes secrets are revealed about how fire, snow and ice are created on screen. (from November 19)
