The Disco Years

Comedy 4 Kids
The Potter’s Arms’ inaugural comedy festival will host comedy “without the rude bits” for children. They will also be hosting comedy workshops for you little ones, teaching children how to write and perform comedy, finding the funny in life and their own experiences, and turning this into confidently-delivered stand-up and sketches.

Sounds Echoed 
Maidenhead’s regular Jazz At The Farm event returns with the Paul Jordanous Jazz Ensemble. Led by trumpeter Paul, the group features some of the finest young musicians to come out of the UK. Their compositions are influenced by the likes of Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard and Roy Hargrove.

The Original Jukebox Heroes
The band features ex and current members of 70s glam rock bands. The set is comprised of songs from each respective band member’s careers and is performed with a desire to present the songs as authentically as possible.

DJ Yoda

Wycombe Arts Festival
The opening ceremony on Saturday will be hosted by the High Wycombe Choral Society. This year they will be joined by the world renowned pianist Warren Mailley-Smith who studied the piano under the society’s conductor, Stephen Armstrong, when he was a child. His performance with the West Forest Sinfonia marks a welcome return to High Wycombe and collaboration with High Wycombe Choral Society.

Dire Streets
This group captures the sound of one of the biggest rock bands of the 1970s, Dire Straits. With frontman John Brunsdon recreating Mark Knopfler’s classic finger picking guitar style.

The Vinyl Frontier
Jeff Lloyd will be playing the whole of Michael Jackson’s Thriller album in full, on vinyl format. He’ll also be sharing a host of trivia and facts about the album and the impact it had across the world. A Missenden Night’s Dream

The Woods Come to Town
A series of talks discussing the past, present and future of Wytham Woods, northwest of Oxford. There will be an introduction to Wytham with Nigel Fisher, followed by talks on the birds, small mammals and vegetation within the woods. The event is free but you must book your place.

Twelfth Night
Two worlds collide in this new take on Shakespeare’s lyrical Twelfth Night. This is quite an unusual production of this classic, with the stage is covered in cables, technical equipment, synthesisers, microphones, amplifiers and supporting instruments, with rock show style.

Grey Side of the Sky
This documentary looks at the isolation of British Asian women within Buckinghamshire, it is a film by Mahuya Kanjilal and will be followed by a discussion. Mahuya is passionate about raising awareness on social issues, sharing cultures and preserving history through untold stories.

The Simon and Garfunkel Story

The Car Man
This production by Matthew Bourne is loosely based on Bizet’s popular opera Carmen, with instantly recognisable scores in classical music arranged by Terry Davies. The familiar 19th Century Spanish cigarette factory becomes a greasy garage-diner in 1960’s America where the dreams and passions of a small-town are shattered by the arrival of a handsome stranger.
