Balloon Brilliance

Expert entertainer and balloonsmith, Danny Schlesinger, will be displaying balloon magic such as the Human Balloon, Poppy the Balloon Hound and the Giant Balloon of Death. Danny combines his stunts with a daft and silly performance, while still being dangerous and difficult, for an entertaining show.

Funhouse Comedy Club

Headlining will be the affable Ben Norris who has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Mock the Week, once having to stand in for Frankie Boyle on the latter after he was rushed to hospital. He will be supported by Anthony King, known for deadpan humour, and Wayne the Weird who combines comedy with magic.

Mods & Rockers

In the 90s a group of professional session musicians decided to create a show they could perform to keep their hands in the industry between tours. The current show features classics from the 60s and 70s, including numbers from The Who, The Kinks, The Small Faces and Desmond Dekker. Individually they have performed with the likes of Queen, Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner, Elton John and Rod Stewert.

Parrot Magnets

Children six years and older can go along and listen to stories from Matilda, including one in which she tricks her parents by pretending a parrot up the chimney is making the voice of a burglar. Afterwards they can create their own pet parrots with a magnet so they can stick it on the fridge – not up the chimney.

The Danish Girl

NT Live: The Audience

A live encore screening of the National Theatre’s production in which Helen Mirren stars as Queen Elizabeth II as she meets with her Prime Ministers in private. She met each of the 12 prime ministers in a private weekly meeting known as The Audience, from Winston Churchill to the Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher to David Cameron, she has advised them on matters. A special screening to celebrate the current Queen’s 90th birthday.

Sons of Pitches

Winners of the BBC 2 TV series ‘The Naked Choir’ in October 2015 and with nearly two million YouTube followers The Sons, as they are often called, are thought to have given a cappella a modern twist. Since 2013, The Sons have captivated audiences with highly creative vocal gymnastics and a programme of inventive pop covers, original numbers and entertaining improvised songs and now they bring their show to High Wycombe.

St Swithuns – The Musical

The UK’s largest youth musical theatre production company, RARE Productions, bring you the story of the unruly pupils of St Swithuns who, after sneaking out and going to a nightclub, end up in court with a police officer hoping to close down the school. The judge sends them to Hensley Grange in the hope that a period of recuperation will help amend their bad behaviours, but a hidden loot in the cellar gives rise to some unexpected situations.
