GALLERY owner Barry Keene has just launched a special exhibition to mark his 45 years working in the art world.
Called President’s Choice, the exhibition at The Barry Keene Gallery in Henley-on-Thames features the work of 14 artists selected by Derek Balmer, president of the Royal West of England Academy.
The collection, which is now on display until next Saturday, includes paintings, sculpture, wood engravings and etchings.
Among the artists on display is Bristolian Neil Murison. Having travelled extensively across the world, Neil’s colourful works reflect his passion for tropical settings, the rainforest and palm trees.
He has exhibited regularly since the 1960s and held one-man shows in London and Oxford.
Also included in the exhibition is Alfred Stockham, who studied at the Camberwell School of Art and the Royal College of Art. His work has been exhibited across the country, including at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
President’s Choice runs at The Barry Keene Gallery until Saturday, November 1. Gallery open Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9.30pm to 5.30pm. Details: 01491 577119 or www.barrykeenegallery.co.uk
