ARTWORKS inspired by the Chilterns landscape have gone on display at The River and Rowing Museum’s latest exhibition, Special Woods.
Paintings, quilts, woodcarvings, collages and photographs, all themed around the local landscape, have been selected for the exhibition, which is part of The Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board.
Assistant curator Suzie Tilbury adds: “We’re asking visitors to vote for their favourite piece in the exhibition, and it’ll be interesting to see which pieces create the biggest impact.”
The work in the exhibition will also be scrutinised by a local panel of art experts and a winner will be chosen early next year.
Special Woods runs at The River and Rowing Museum, Mill Meadows, Henley-on-Thames, until Sunday, January 4, 2009. Details: 01491 415600 or www.rrm.co.uk
