A PAINTING group which was formed in 1969 is exhibiting its work next month.

The Chiltern Painters Spring Art Exhibition is held in the beautiful Old Amersham Market Hall as it has always been.

The group was founded in 1969 and now has eighteen members who have regular monthly meetings in each other’s homes.

Membership now includes both professional and amateur painters producing artwork in watercolour, pastel, oils and acrylic as well as printmakers, sculptors in clay, bronze and bronze resins and the woodcarver who works mainly in lime and oak.

The members now also have a large and varied range of greetings cards on sale at £1 each.

The exhibition runs from April 25 from 2 to 5pm; Friday 26 to Sunday 28 April 10.30am to 6pm. Admission free.
