BARBARA Butcher will be signing copies of her book, The Other Canal, at the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home shop in Holmer Green tomorrow (Saturday) to raise money for the charity. The novel is a political thriller based in Thailand. Butcher will also be doing a talk about the book at Hazlemere Library on September 10 at 11am.

THERE will be music at West Wycombe Park this Sunday from 2.15pm to 3.15pm. Gates open at 2pm. It is free but normal admission charges apply. Music is played by volunteer musicians in the house. The house and grounds are open until August 31 from 2-6pm from Sunday to Thursday. Admission to the house during weekdays is by guided tour only which are every 20 minutes. OPERA della Luna presents two open-air performances of Mozart's popular opera Don Giovanni at Courteenhall, Northants on July 29 and 31. This is a rare opportunity as the estate is not open very often to the public.The production is fresh from a sell-out run at the Iford Festival in Bath and Northamptonshire with a unique opportunity to see this new production in a specially created open-air theatre in the grounds of Courteenhall.
