FIND the missing loot in High Wycombe or discover who killed leading oarsman, Ivor Rowlock, in Marlow with new trails designed for the summer.

Treasure Trails has launched a set of trails in the area to help families explore where they live while hunting treasure, solving a murder mystery of breaking a code.

Pat Tonge, Buckingamshire and East Berkshire Manager for Treasure Trails, said: “It is amazing how many new sights you discover, even in towns you know well whilst solving these mysteries.

“I’ve lived in the area for most of my life but I didn’t know how many interesting sights were just under my nose.”

All trails were tested by unpaid volunteers.

The Marlow trail asked explorers to find out who killed Ivor Rowlock, just weeks before the Regatta.

It guides you through the trail and gives you clues along the way. If you have a name at the end this can be entered into a competition to win a prize.

Lisa Smith and her family recently said of the Marlow Trail: “The kids really enjoyed it. The clues are challenging, and I rate it up there with Tintagel as one of our favourites - and we have done quite a few now”.

Pat, who until recently had lived in Chesham for over 20 years previously living in other areas of Bucks before that, gave up her daily commute to London to become the Treasure Trails Manager .

She said: ‘I loved the idea of getting people outside exploring and could see that this would be a really fantastic way to show visitors and locals all the great places Bucks has to offer’.
