THERE are a host of activities for children this summer at Waddesdon Manor to keep families entertained.
The National Trust property has arranged things to do both inside the house and out with the chance to explore history and the grounds.
Entry to the house and grounds is free for children throughout the month of August.
The Woodland Playground which opened in 2007 has a large, wooded area with an adventurous trail and a space dedicated to younger children.
There is an Explorer Trail for children which offers two routes in the garden to learn more about animals, insects and plants along the way.
At the end of all this youngsters can take a look at the children's shop which is full of retro toys and old-fashioned confectionery.
There are also tours of the house on Wednesdays during the school holidays until August 31 before the house opens with their own guide.
And of course, visit the fabulous aviary with more than 150 birds.
For further information about any of the events see www.waddesdon.org.uk or contact the Booking Office on 01296 653226.
