Troublemaker Youth Theatre new term
The focus at Troublemaker Youth Theatre is on acting, improvisation and devising, covering both comedy and drama. Each term consists of 11 weeks, ending in a performance. Some terms will be script based,
others will workshop particular skills and some will involve writing and performing a new show. Their professional team have already guided the group through writing their own radio-play (with live sound effects!), the hilarious Murder at Pomfrey Manor, their own horror films and two fantastic Summer Theatre Week productions. A Cruise along the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal
The Staffs and Worcester was part of Brindley’s Grand Cross of canals and carried commercial business from its opening in 1772 to the 1950s. Hedgerley Historical Society Talk.
Angela Spencer-Harper will present her talk on The Maharajah’s Well and local inhabitants
Angela Spencer-Harper, local historian and lecturer as well as author of two local history books, Dipping into the Wells and The Old Place, is to give an illustrated lecture on the history of Stoke Row and Highmoor in the Chiltern Hills. These are based on her collection of 2000+ monochrome photographs taken between 1850 and 1950. About 50 photographs are shown during the talk, which includes anecdotes about the villagers and their way of life at that time.

Public Meeting - Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley
The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Thames Valley, Anthony Stansfeld, will be holding a public meeting in Amersham for the Chiltern District Council. The event will be an opportunity for the PCC along with the Local Police Area Commander, Steve Hockin, to meet and greet residents and deliver presentations about the role of the PCC and local policing in Chiltern. A representative from the Community Safety Partnership will also be in attendance to tell the public more about the work they carry out in the area.
