On The Radar The funniest of Noel Coward The Humour of Noel Coward features the very best of the playwright, composer, actor and singer. Noel Coward is one of the UK’s most renowned playwrights and composers. He was knighted in 1969, had a theatre named after him and was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He was responsible for plays including Hay Fever, Private Lives and Blithe Spirit. The latter of which is currently being performed in the West End starring Dame Angela Lansbury. The Humour of Noel Coward brings together some of his greatest songs in one show for the first time. Open garden Open garden to raise funds to help Age UK Buckinghamshire, which supports older and vulnerable people across the county. The Carringtons took over the house on the family estate in the 1940s and set about restoring it, as well as redesigning the gardens with the help of landscape architect Robert Adams. Now encompassing around ten acres, they stretch from a beautiful walled garden with an herbaceous border and gazebo, through to a croquet lawn surrounded by mixed borders, a water garden and parterre, a sculpture garden and the new Snail Garden, designed in memory of Lady Carrington. Lavender beds, borders of delphiniums and paeonies, viburnums, santolina and festuca glauca are just some of the plants which will be showing off their summer colours and foliage. Bekonscot Model Village 85th Anniversary Celebration The oldest model village will celebrate the occasion with a village green family fun and party atmosphere. In the village there will be remote controlled boats, train rides, falconry, face painting, balloon modelling, balloon race, traditional games, handmade crafts and a special appearance of Noddy’s car.
