John Newton - Amazing Grace
Churches Together in Marlow are hosting a performance by Saltmine Theatre Company. This is a powerfully moving story of slavery, freedom and the remarkable power of love and grace to transform a life. After his dramatic conversion John Newton, who had been captain of a slave ship, became an enthusiastic participant in the movement for the abolition of slavery, and a writer of the famous Olney hymns. Private Peaceful 
Scamp Theatre presents Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful. Remembrances - An Evening of Musical Memories - performed by Chiltern Musica
Chiltern Musica's second visit to Amersham, this ensemble comprising local and international professional musicians will be performing a selection of beautiful music for wind instruments and piano. These works are not particularly well known but deserve to be. The programme is linked by remembrances, those happy and sad memories and emotions that sometimes cannot be expressed by words alone. Chiltern Music bring a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere to their concerts bringing chamber music back to its roots of being a performance of music with friends. The Roy Orbison and Del Shannon Story

The Life of Riley Music Club
Award winning singer-songwriter Lynne Hanson will perform. Hanson grew up in Ottawa Canada, and started playing guitar when she was 14, learning on a hand-me-down from an older brother. She released her award-winning debut album - Things I Miss - in 2006, and with tales to tell, two more albums quickly followed - Eleven Months (2008) and Once the Sun Goes Down (2010). Originally from Dorset but now residing in a small barn perched on a hill in Oxfordshire, Thame-based couple Kerraleigh and Martin Child comprise The August List; a boy/girl two-piece who play ‘backwards country/porch folk’ with a startling rock ‘n’ roll attitude. Holy Trinity Prestwood is pleased to be hosting an evening of music by Sarah Jones, a well-known folk musician and vicar. Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society
The visiting speaker this month will be Tlws Johnson, who trained in ceramics and glass, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 1996. She makes large kiln formed, cast glass sculptures and fused glass designs. Her work is organic and colourful and most recently has been based on ancient stones. Ranulph Fiennes
In conversation with Rupert Lancaster as part of the Henley Literary Festival. Named the greatest living adventurer by Guinness World Records, Sir Ranulph makes his Henley début. Bucks Minority Concern Concert 
It is a community event to celebrate young people in Bucks and help parents raise aspiration. BMEC was set up in 2011 to address how social disadvantage and children's underachievement affects families from black and minority ethnic communities disproportionately. But on further investigation they have also begun to address the gap between the success of all pupils from wealthier backgrounds and those from less affluent families. Are starting another batch of their ten week long courses for beginning runners. From couch to parkrun 
Starting on October 4 and each Saturday thereafter, a ten week long From Couch to parkrun course for people with little or no running experience who would, again, like to begin in a safe, enjoyable way with the support and companionship of others. People will be led very gradually via a weekly increasing ratio of running to walking to a stage where they will comfortably be able to take part in our local Wycombe Rye parkrun and subsequently join their club’s Improvers Group. Oh What A Lovely War
It is a theatrical chronicle of the First World War told through the songs, speeches and letters of the period. Interspersed with news panels and pictures, it is an account of the people who lived and died in the conflict. First presented by Theatre Workshop in 1963 under the direction of Joan Littlewood, Winslow Players are pleased to present this theatre as a tribute to all those involved in the First World War. Beverley Craven
Award-winning UK singer Beverley Craven brings her new tour, A Change of Heart, to Norden Farm. Beverley released her first album in 1990 and it went on to sell more than two million copies worldwide. She became a household name with the release of her first single from the album Promise Me. In 2004, Beverley was forced to take a break from her career when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She received the all clear and returned to music in 2009. She wrote and produced Close to Home, her first album in ten years. After publishing her autobiography in 2012, she now returns to the music business with her fifth studio album, Change of Heart. Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

The RAF in Concert tour
