BARNUM is such an exciting show to watch with amazing acrobatics, fire eating and Brian Conley walking a tight rope.

If you haven't got your ticket yet to go and see Barnum at the Wycombe Swan this week- then get it now.

The show is so different to anything I have seen before and includes great acting, singing and circus acts.

Brian Conley is just fantastic as Phineas T Barnum- he has the charisma and showmanship to pull off such a colourful character.

Barnum was an American showman and businessman who lived from 1810 to 1891 and founded the Barnum and Bailey Circus.

He was a man with big ideas who managed to pull them all off and the show charts his life.

It looks closely at his life and marriage to Chairy, who see the world from opposite sides of the spectrum.

Having been a hit on stage in the 80s, the show is now making a return and is touring until August next year.

The scenes where all the company are on stage are the best as there is just so much going on- from acrobatics to juggling to singing and dancing- it really is a feast for the eyes.

The Tom Thumb scene where elephant legs drop from the ceiling is also a sight to behold, as is Brian walking across a tight rope- without any support. Everybody was on the edge of their seats and he did it with aplomb.

There are also stilt walkers, aerial acrobats and fire eating- and yet there is a solid storyline running throughout- it is not just about the circus performances.

The music is catchy and the singing is fabulous- Linzi Hateley is amazing as Chairy Barnum.

Barnum is such a spectacle- it will have you on the edge of your seat and leave you with a smile on your face.

It is at the Wycombe Swan until Saturday, October 11. Tickets are £23 to £39, with a £1.50 booking fee.
