1. AFTER wowing audiences all over the UK and spending three years in London’s West End, Dancing in the Streets is set to get toes tapping at the Wycombe Swan on Sunday evening.

Experience the energy, the excitement, the emotion and the electricity of Motown in Ivor Novello Award winning director Keith Strachan’s production of the hit show. The Dancing in the Streets company will re-create the energy, style and music of the stars of the Motown movement - responsible for some of the greatest hits of the 20th century - all with the aim of getting you dancing in the aisles.

2. COMEDIAN Richard Blackwood is topping the line up at the one year anniversary of Wycombe’s Comedy on the Hill event.

Joining the former actor and rapper for what promises to be an evening with plenty of laughs on offer are Dan Ginn, Tots, Arielle, Chrissy and host Thanyia Moore. Music at the event at Arts4Every1, in Desborough Road, HP11 2PU, will be provided by Krystal Soundz.

3. CELEBRATE Harvest Festival at the Chiltern Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Peter this weekend, by finding out about the customs and celebrations of the past. Henton Mission Room, one of the Museum’s beautiful rescued historic buildings, will be home to a festive display of harvest produce and visitors can learn about historic farming activities, enjoy traditional folk singing, and try out some harvest crafts whilst costumed re-enactors will bring the Museum’s buildings to life.

4. A YOUNG man sells his soul for fame and fortunes in DumbWise Theatre’s stylish re-telling of Goethe’s classic tale Faust, embarking on a musical spree of corruption and sin.

With a masterful score of original songs, the emotive surge of poetic verse collides with a gypsy caravan of dark folk ballad and blues, orchestrated live by an actor-musician cast of five. The show, suitable for those aged 13 and over, forms part of the Theatre in the Villages programme for 2014.

5. IT’S Apple Discovery Day on The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway tomorrow.

Ride the ‘Apple Rambler’ and see local fruit trees and learn about our historic orchards, with expert guides on hand to talk about the local heritage apples on display. You can also try your hand at washing, milling and pressing apples. You can even bring bottles to take the fruits of your labours away, and enjoy some games and activities, including apple bobbing. Heritage apple trees and apple themed drinks and foods will be available.
