BASED on the true story of Sir Thomas More, the 16th-century Chancellor of England, who refused to endorse King Henry VIII’s wish to divorce his wife Catherine of Aragon, A Man For All Seasons is at the Swan this wekeend. The play portrays More as a man of principle, envied by rivals such as Thomas Cromwell and loved by the common people and by his family. The title reflects the portrayal of Sir Thomas More as the ultimate man of conscience. As one who remains true to himself and his beliefs while adapting to all circumstances and times, despite external pressure or influence, More represents "a man for all seasons.

2. AN evening of drama themed on The Great War awaits at the Chesham Theatre Company which will be performing two plays each night contrasting the serious and poignant story of the war memorials and the comedy of renowned stand-up comedian Arthur Smith in his play ‘Trench Kiss’. CTC will be inviting the audience to bring their own drinks and picnic along for this ‘Supper Theatre’ event.

3. CHILDREN can get ready to embark on an exciting new mission with our underwater adventure super heroes Captain Barnacles, Kwazii and Peso, in the brand new live stage show, Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure.

4. OPERA fans are invited to an evening of entertainment with an atmospheric performance from the singers of Cameo Opera. These Arias by Candlelight won't be a single complete opera but an evening of operatic highlights, performed by a group of exceptional musicians.

5. ENJOY a tasting session at the Malt The Brewery Tasting Bar followed by a 45 minute tour of the brewing process.
