Shappi Khorsandi is bringing her razor sharp wit and endless charm to The Elgiva on Saturday and the audience are in for a side-splittingly funny treat. The Iranian-born comedian and author took a break in 2013 to have her second child, but is now back and raring to go with her new tour, Because I’m Shappi.

Television fans may recognise her from her various stints on TV, including Masterchef, Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

With an exiled comedian and writer for a father, an unconventional childhood growing up as an Iranian in London and now a mother of two, Shappi, 42, has plenty of inspiration for her stand-up routines.

Known for her feisty nature, her honesty and wit, the audience can expect to see a celebration of Shappi’s haphazard journey towards her dreams and be introduced to family, friends and even complete strangers who have helped her along the way.

Shappi Khorsandi’s ‘Because I’m Shappi’ tour is coming to The Elgiva, on Saturday November 8 at 8pm. Tickets cost £14 (concessions £12) from the Box Office: 01494 582900 or at www.elgiva.com.

Look out for a review of the show next week.
