A showcase of the best work from talented artists in Bucks is now open for entries.

Bucks Open Studios, the largest visual arts event in Buckinghamshire, are on the hunt for local artists and makers to help celebrate the annual event’s 30th next year. The showcase will take place from June 6 to June 21 next year.

Bucks Open Studios displays an array of over 500 local artists and makers, from passionate hobbyists to artists with international reputations who open up their studios to the public for a dazzling line-up of free demonstrations, hands-on workshops and exhibitions. Talent on show in previous years includes painters, ceramicists, glass workers, basket weavers, metal workers, wood turners, jewellery makers, book makers, photographers, print makers and silk makers.

Bucks Open Studio organisers are hoping to make next year’s event the biggest yet.

Bob and Ann Marshall, the Joint Chairs of Bucks Open Studios said “We would love to see as many local artists and makers taking part as we possibly can. We are looking for creative people who would like to open up their studio or workshop to the public or to join an existing group to help showcase the fantastic work in the county.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re an amateur and you’ve just started your creative journey, or if you’ve been creating art all your life.”

The deadline for entries is January 31. To get involved visit website www.bucksopenstudios.org.uk or contact the Visual Images Group Co-ordinator, Trisha, by emailingadmin@bucksopenstudios.org.uk or calling 01296 614283.

All artists and makers wishing to participate in Bucks Open Studios must first become members of the Visual Images Group, a network of over 600 members. Individual membership to the Visual Images Group starts at £22 plus an additional charge to participate in Bucks Open Studios.
