The Vinyl Frontier
Norden Farm is delighted to announce the return of The Vinyl Frontier for 2015, with another year of great albums played out in full and as they were intended – on vinyl. These highly sociable evenings are hosted by vinyl buff Jeff Lloyd, who shares knowledge, trivia and little-known facts. Contestants pitch their favourite album to the audience and play a track from it to support their case. The audience will vote on their favourite, with the winner receiving a trophy. Finding the People in the Pottery - a Talk by Lisa Brown organised by Archaeology in Marlow (AIM)
Lisa Brown, a prehistoric pottery specialist from Oxford Archaeology, will be addressing the relationship between people and pottery in prehistoric Britain and how this is reflected in pottery forms and styles, and the general archaeological record. She is co-author of ‘Down to Weymouth town by Ridgeway’: Prehistoric, Roman and later sites along the Weymouth Relief Road, published in 2014. Weekly Hash (Run)
High Wycombe Hash House Harriers - Drinkers with a running problem - meet every Tuesday at a local pub (normally within a 10-mile radius of HW town centre) and go for a run, seeking out a trail that has been previously laid by one of our number. The Enid
The Enid return to The Court Theatre following last year’s sell out performance. The band will be presenting new material from 2015 classical release The Bridge and other favourites. 2014 saw founder Robert John Godfrey achieve a third year in the Classic FM Hall of Fame and receive the Visionary award at the Progressive Music Awards, sharing the night with other award winners such as Peter Gabriel and Fish (Marillion). Tring born lead vocalist Joe Payne now celebrates a place as one of the Top 10 Progressive Rock Vocalists (Team Rock). Fame the Musical
