Calamity Jane
Calamity Jane can outrun and outshoot any man in Deadwood. Hard, boastful and desperate to impress, she travels to Chicago on the Deadwood Stage to recruit a star, Adelaide Adams. Spamalot

There Goes the Bride
When harassed advertising executive Timothy Westerby hits his head on the morning of his daughters society wedding, he awakes to find himself in the company of Polly Perkins, a 1920’s flapper girl straight out of his current advertising campaign. It all soon becomes all too clear that no-one else can see or hear her, and when another bump on the head transports Timothy back to 1926 and the Savoy Hotel, the carefully planned wedding preparations disintegrate into chaos as friends and family attempt to lead Timothy back to reality and his daughter down the aisle before the newly arrived ‘In-Laws’ abandon the wedding. How He Hid the Priests
Author and architect Tony Reynolds will be telling the story of Priest-Holes. These were hiding places for Catholic clergy during the reigns of Elizabeth I and James I. To be a Catholic Priest was risking death as a traitor. Tony Reynolds will focus on the ingenious carpentry and joinery skills of Nicholas Owen, the master priest-hole maker. The afternoon session concerns Dudley Charles Elwes, the fifth Bishop of Northampton. The event is organised by the English Catholic History Association. Tea and coffee will be provided. All welcome. Hughenden Speaks
This inaugural series of talks and speeches are the result of an exciting new collaboration between the National Trust and Oxford University, and intended to celebrate the power of oratory. On 23 April, two popular historians A.N. Wilson and Professor Angus Hawkins, from Oxford University, will debate today’s’ attitude to politics compared to those of the Victorian era.  On 24 April, a private audience will be held by Lord Douglas Hurd former Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary, and author of numerous published works. Howard Alden
Widely rated as World's Number One jazz guitarist, the great Howard Alden, from New York, is here for a short visit in April, and will fit in a much anticipated visit to Marlow Jazz Club. Howard will line up with his favourite British sax player Karen Sharp along with Simon Woolf, bass, and Denis Smith, drums. To fit in with Howard's tight schedule this is a Wednesday date, not the Club's usual Tuesday. Admission £8.
