A hotel in Cadmore End is to host a free curry evening in aid of charity this week.

The Tree Hotel will welcome curry fans to a special charity evening on Wednesday to raise money for The Footsteps Centre.

Visitors can sample some classic curry dishes and watch a demonstration from The Tree Hotel's managing director, Kavita Pal.

Mrs Pal hopes the event will give people the confidence to rustle up their own Indian feast at home.

She said: "I am thrilled to be hosting a special evening to celebrate our love of all things curry and to share my best Indian cooking tips with our guests.

"Many people have a pre-conceived idea that cooking a tasty and healthy Indian meal is a daunting process and many of us choose to turn to the curry jar as a safer option!

"I want to show our guests that Indian cooking is not overwhelming, can be really healthy and everyone should give it a go.”

The cooking masterclass is free, but a small auction wil help raise money for The Footsteps Centre, which specialises in the intensive rehabilitation of children and young adults with a range of disabilities.

Mrs Pal said she is delighted to be supporting their chosen charity.

"We are extremely proud and honoured to be supporting The Footsteps Centre which does an incredible job of supporting children, young adults and their families.

"This event has been created for us to share a special evening with our community as well as giving back to our chosen charity for the wonderful work they do.”

The curry charity evening starts at 7pm prompt at The Tree Hotel, in Marlow Road on Wednesday, April 15.
