A special curry charity evening has raised hundreds of pounds for disabled children.

The Tree Hotel, in Cadmore End, raised £600 at the cooking event on April 15.

Curry fans sampled some classic Indian dishes and watched a demonstration from The Tree Hotel's managing director, Kavita Pal.

After learning some new cooking tips and skills, visitors sampled the curry creations.

A small auction helped raise much needed funds for The Footsteps Centre, which specialises in the intensive rehabilitation of children and young adults with a range of disabilities.

The charity, which is based in Dorchester-on-Thames, in Oxfordshire, helps children with cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, epilepsy, other neurological and neuromotor disorders and undiagnosed conditions with specially-designed therapy programmes.

Mrs Kavita Pal was delighted at the success of the charity curry evening.

She said: “I am thrilled that we raised money for The Footsteps Centre, which specialises in the intensive physiotherapy of children and young adults with a variety of disabilities.

“At the same time we were able to show many loyal and new guests that Indian food is not only delicious but easy to make and can be super healthy.”
