Army cadets - 3rd (Missenden) Platoon
The Army Cadet force (ACF) offers a wide range of activities and nationally recognised qualifications for young people aged 12 to 18 3/4. Chiddlers’ Hour: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
For 0 to 3 years: 30 minutes of songs, storytelling and adventure and 30 minutes of free play and crafts based on Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. £3 per child. Pre-booking is recommended as workshops can sell out in advance. Christian Aid coffee morning
This is our churches' main fundraiser for Christian Aid this year, as well as being a great way to have a get-together in the village, for locals and visitors alike.  Coffee and homemade cakes, raffle, plus extensive bric a brac and books in the historic Church Loft above the Church Room, great for a browse. The Christian Aid theme this year is  'Mooove over, poverty!' with a special focus on some of the fantastic work being done in Ethiopia, despite the conflict there over many years and still ongoing.

Dogs' giant spring jumble sale
Tons of donated new and nearly new clothes, household goods, bric a brac, toys, books, DVDs, CDs, old LPs, pet food and more all up for grabs in one of the district's largest monthly jumble sales. These are held on the last Saturday of every month at the kennels. Also open will be the charity's shop of treasures selling some of the best items. Proceeds help save dogs' lives and to rehome them. NCT Nearly New Sale
Grab a bargain and raise some money for charity at the same time. Nearly New Sales are a fantastic way of getting ready for baby's arrival at a fraction of the cost. Come along to find everything from bibs and babygros to walkers and window signs. Everything is of good quality and great prices. You can pick up some true bargains for your little ones or, if you choose to sell your goods, you can make a bit of money all the while helping raise funds for the NCT charity. Please be aware that pushchairs are not allowed in the sale itself, a pushchair park will be provided. We no longer accept cheques as payment, but with a small admin fee of 50p per transaction you can now pay with a credit or debit card using the chip and pin machines. Entrance donation is £1.

Alexander’s Feast
Great Missenden Choral Society will perform Alexander’s Feast, by Handel. Soloists will be Josephine Goddard (soprano), Gwilym Bowen (tenor) and a bass-baritone TBA. St John's Orchestra will be performing the Concerto Grosso from the work, as well as accompanying the choral and solo parts. John Cotterill, the choir's director, will conduct. Assisted Scrabble event
The aim of this event is to enable folk who are unable to play Scrabble on their own, to participate in a friendly game, with the aid of a partner. Each player needing help can have a friend to sit with them to assist with placing the words on the board. You can bring your own helper, or we can find someone to assist if you prefer.
