Poultry open afternoon
High Wycombe and District Poultry Society are holding their annual open afternoon. It is an introduction to chickens aimed at new keepers but everyone is welcome. Jordans Music Club Summer Festival 2015
The time for summer evenings of music in a Chiltern village has arrived again. The 72nd Jordans Music Club Summer Festival, features four concerts from artists of the highest standard. This season welcome Lawrence Power (viola) and Simon Crawford-Phillips (piano) who will bring a programme of music arranged for viola and piano including pieces from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet ballet; Michael Collins (clarinet) and the Heath Quartet will play works by Haydn, Weber, Janacek and Mozart; Pavel Kolesnikov (piano), a BBC3 Young Generation Artist and a talent to look out for, performing Mozart, Schumann and Debussy; and the Carducci Quartet with Christian-Pierre La Marca, an exciting young French cellist in Beethoven, Cassado and Schubert .
