1. Roald Dahl Festival 2015
This scrumdiddlyumptious family favourite brings thousands of children, families and visitors to Aylesbury Town Centre every year. The festival celebrates world-renowned author Roald Dahl, and includes an eye-popping parade by local children of characters from Dahl’s best known books – this year featuring The Twits. This is the 13th year that Aylesbury Vale District Council and their phizz-wizzing partners have come together with local children and schools to celebrate our most famous and loved author. There are also hands-on craft activities, storytelling, live music, and inflatable fun for all the family to enjoy, whatever the weather. The parade starts at 11am and the fun continues all day to 3pm. More information at www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk/dahl or call 01296 585031. Free to attend.
