Tring Chamber Music 2015 - A Night Transfigured
With two giants of the Sextet repertoire, the ample acoustics of Hastoe Village Hall will resound with late Romantic richness and passion. In Brahms’ radiant second String Sextet he expiates earlier despair regarding a failed love affair. Similarly inspired by a story of tangled relationships, it combines the strong musical influence of both Brahms and Wagner in a half hour span.
