Dr Who helps dogs' big day
A former Dr. Who and Stokenchurch Dog Rescue supporters are preparing for the charity's main annual summer fund raising event - an open day fete with lots of stalls, sideshows and other attractions. It is being held at SDR's kennels in Oxford Road, Stokenchurch, and will be attended by former Dr Who actor Colin Baker who is the charity's patron. There will be a large auction of donated items (including a steam-boat Thames trip, a hotel stay and Sunday dinner), tours of the kennels, tombola, stalls selling new and nearly new clothes, bric a brac and jewellery plus barbecue and other refreshments. Also, face painting for the children and balloon modelling. Proceeds will help save dogs' lives and find them good new homes. RSC Live Screening – The Merchant of Venice
