Shaun Ryder is to return to PennFest for the second year in a row, as his band Black Grape join the line up for 2016.
The Happy Mondays star is bringing his rock band, known for singles like Reverend Black Grape, to the family-friendly festival this July.
Alternative rock band Ash and Ska group Bad Manners will also join the line-up, with De La Soul, Chas and Dave, Shed Seven and Ms Dynamite announced last week.
The bands will be joining award-winning rapper Dizzee Rascal, best known for hits like Fix Up, Look Sharp, Bonkers and Holiday, who will take to the festival main stage in The Big Park, Penn Street, on the Saturday.
The family-friendly music event will run for two days, Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23, instead of three this year, but organisers are promising that the sixth annual festival will be the ‘best ever’ with even more acts still to be announced.
The headline act for the Friday is set to be announced on February 1.
