Dear Kaye,
I have been very unhappy living in Marlow & I have finally found someone to exchange with through the HomeSwapper website but I don’ think I can afford the removal costs. I’m a single parent with a part-time job & benefits so money is tight & I have no family to help me with the removals & van. Jenny, 27, Marlow.
Dear Jenny,
Moving home is a stressful situation at the best of times but when you have to organise this on your own, it can seem like a massive task. A local company may be able to offer both van & driver for a reasonable price or if you contact your local benefits office they may be able to suggest a low cost way to move or perhaps even help with the costs, depending on your circumstances.
There is a Community Care Grant which you don’t pay back or Budgeting Loans which offer interest free borrowing. I have added recommended contacts below.
Good luck Jenny & wish you all the best in your new home,
Kaye.
