HEROES is back on BBC2, and dull scientist Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is already banging on about destiny, the fate of humanity and a search for meaning in the world.

I WAS pretty sure I'd know what to expect when I tuned in to Louis Theroux's African Hunting Holiday on Sunday, but, as ever, his strange subject matter took some unexpected detours.

I HAVE to admit, I'm not a fan of reality TV. In fact, I'd rather claw my own eyes out than have to watch Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity, or most of the others that clog up our screens, so this could be quite a short-lived column.

Muriel Gray was right: "Don't be yourself, or they'll never employ you."

As I'll be in the throes of a new job just days after you read this, I thought it only appropriate to spend my last column reviewing The Grumpy Guide to... series after, as luck would have it, last Tuesday's Guide was on the subject of work. How fortunate and topical for me.
