Garsington Opera is looking for budding actors to take part in a new production to open their summer season.

If you are aged 40 and above, you could be in with the chance to appear as a wedding guest in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte.

Garsington Opera are looking for ten actors, who will appear three times throughout each performance - eating a wedding banquet as the audience enters the Opera Pavilion, as the wedding guests gather together after the cutting of the cake and then preparing to go home after the wedding and putting coats on.

The successful actors will get the chance to work with Garsington Opera’s Artistic Director Douglas Boyd and award-winning John Fulljames alongside a talented cast of professional singers and musicians.

Young love is put to the test in Cosi fan tutte, as two disguised bridegrooms try to trick their fiancees into betrayal.

To register your interest in taking part in the selection workshop in Stokenchurch on Monday evening, email Hannah Muddiman at manager@garsingtonopera.org.

The talented actors selected to perform will be asked to attend a costume fitting and must be available for all rehearsals and performances at Wormsley.

Rehearsals will be 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30 May and 2 June.

Performances will take place when the summer season opens on 5 June and then on 7, 13, 19, 22, 25 and 28 June and 3, 6, 8, 11 July.

The opportunity to star in the production is unpaid but travel expenses will be reimbursed.
