If White Denim’s widely praised debut Workout Holiday did it for you, Fits is likely to do it even better.

And definitely more ferociously.

The relentlessly demented musical raiding is even more fully realised on this most unrestrained of releases.

Thankfully eschewing the noodle-headed self indulgence of The Mars Volta, White Denim make a righteous racket in their backwater garage, then sneak out to pilfer new cues from country to indie to hair metal, bluegrass and old-fashioned prog, heading back to their lair to feed them through their manic psychedelic sonic filter.

There’s a housey interlude in I Start To Run that shouldn’t work, but it does; while All Consolation is a sonic fox in the mainstream henhouse.
