CLS tunes up for Wycombe Swan

THE City of London Sinfonia returns to High Wycombe on Sunday, as part of this year's Wycombe Arts Festival.

Conducted by Richard Hickox, the renowned orchestra will perform Schubert's Symphony No 5 in B Flat, as well as Vaughan Williams' Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus for strings and harps.

Internationally-acclaimed clarinettist Michael Collins will also perform a number of pieces, including Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A and Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin's Concerto for Basset Clarinet.

Collins has earned an international reputation, playing as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras.

The City of London Sinfonia performs on Sunday, May 18, 7.30pm, at Wycombe Swan. Tickets: www.wycombeartsfestival.org
