It’s not every day the world’s top DJ and producer sings your praises.

But Calvin Harris has spoken about working with pop superstar Rihanna – and he’s described her as being one of a kind.

Talking to Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1, Calvin unveiled his new collaboration with the songstress, called This Is What You Came For, as part of Nick’s New Music Friday feature.

The Scottish DJ, who is dating Taylor Swift, told Nick he was relieved to finally be able to put the song out.

He said: “It’s very exciting. I’ve been playing this in my car for too long. I’ve not been able to tell anyone this exists until two days ago, so it’s exciting that everyone is going to hear it.”

On working with Rihanna, he revealed: “She’s got the iconic voice, hasn’t she? She’s an icon within herself. Her voice is out of control, the tone, how distinctive it is, the way she carries it, every little phrase… there’s no one like her…. stylistically she can’t be touched.”

The song was recorded while RiRi was on tour in New York.

“She’s one of the few people that will stay in the studio until it’s done (the song),” Calvin said.

But what did fans (and one or two famous folk) think of the new tune?
