If there was something we didn’t expect the Deputy Prime Minister to do in the run up to the general election, it was to go on the Channel 4 comedy panel show Last Leg.

Politicians aren’t known for their humour, so the people of Twitter seemed to be a bit surprised that Nick Clegg was a good sport on the show – and didn’t completely crumble under the pressure of comedian Alex Brooker’s questions (including ‘how many times have you wanted to slap David Cameron in the last five years, to which he admitted “a few”).

As expected the show’s host Adam Hills, stand-up comedian Josh Widdicombe and Brooker, didn’t pull any punches discussing the latest news and general parliamentary things with Clegg.

Most importantly though, the leader of the Lib Dems proved he was down with the people when he compared the election to ordering at Nandos.

He KNEW peri-peri chicken was the way to our hearts.

And Nandos aside, people actually thought Clegg was pretty funny.

Just like an actual human.

And of course this definitely needs to happen.
