Even by the standards of Britain’s Got Talent, the fourth live semi-final was weird.

Simon knew it was going to be so.

And he was right. Here’s what happened…

Everyone found OK WorldWide kind of boring

The boys from OK WorldWide may have given it everything they had, but frankly, they were underwhelming…

And one of them had cornrows which was distracting.

Simon was really moody from the start

It wasn’t a good night overall for Simon’s emotions. More on that later…

Or perhaps it was his clothes that made him feel uptight?

Lisa Sampson’s body made us all want to try our hand at hula hooping

She has some incredible abs on her.

The perfect Kanneh-Masons were, well, perfect

The siblings totally made classical cool.

But the other family act, the Neales, were a little bit cheesy….

Although Katie Hopkins was a fan

We’re not sure how much of an endorsement that is…

Simon Cowell actually cried….

We heard a lot about Maia Gough’s tonsillitis

But she has a good voice…

Jeffrey Drayton was awful

To be honest, we did’t know what on earth we were seeing when he came on.

Everyone was sad about how Marc Metral’s dog Wendy seemed to be shaking

There has been lots of controversy about this one. It’s essentially a ventriloquist act with Wendy, an actual dog, opening her mouth on cue to appear to appear to speak Marc’s words.

The act caused controversy in the auditions, attracting the attention of the RSPCA who were concerned with the apparent use of a muzzle-like device to achieve the effect.

Both the show and Marc were keen to stress Wendy was not put through any distress, but viewers weren’t convinced.

Isaac was amazing but apparently he has terrible hair

Simon called him Jack though – get it right, Cowell.

The boys from Boyband finished the night off

But this guy worried about the state of British plumbers in the future…

Next time we just hope there aren’t as many ad breaks
