Blue star Lee Ryan has been charged in connection with a driving incident.

The 30-year-old All Rise singer and actor was arrested at 5.30am yesterday in Ealing, west London, after officers allegedly saw him driving erratically.

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant was initially taken to a west London police station on suspicion of drink-driving.

While in custody he was arrested further on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and criminal damage.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said Ryan would appear on bail at Ealing Magistrates' Court on May 2 charged with failing to provide a specimen and criminal damage.

The father of one was released on police bail in relation to the other suspected offences, the spokesman added.

Hours earlier Ryan was seen partying at the opening of a bar in the City of London alongside fellow band member Duncan James, according to reports.

The Kent-born star found fame with boy band Blue in 2000, who went on to sell 3.3 million albums and a million singles in the UK.

He recently hit the headlines again when he was involved in a love triangle during the latest edition of Celebrity Big Brother.
